Super Bowl Sunday | Outfit, Hair & Makeup Ideas | + Tips & Tricks for Game Day

Super Bowl Sunday
Makeup | Hair | Outfit

I am a sports fan.
I am also a style devotee.
Here are some of my ideas for your inspiration on how to rock 'Game Day'.

Check out my video for a step-by-step makeup tutorial and outfit idea!

Keep it Simple.

Now is not the time to break out your most intensive beauty regimen. If you aren't one to wear a full face of makeup all day err' day - don't. Same goes for face paint. If you aren't out every Sunday in full team gear, check the jersey, foam finger and face paint at the door. You'll look like a poser if it's not your normal cheer gear.

I recommend:

Laid back and easy. Think off duty VS model and girl next door sexy. Restrain the glitter and drama; i.e. no pancake foundation, false lashes or hard to maintain lip.

Keep it fresh with a natural lip, a defined eye and healthy skin.

What I used:

Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer
& Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer (instead of heavy foundation)

Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess for a healthy glow.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface for a shimmer free sweet & natural baby pink.

Sonia Kashuk Barely There Loose Powder to set my concealer.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance to make sure my eye shadows last from kick-off to the final seconds of the game.

MAC Satin Taupe across the lid.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Duo in Power Lunch (Purple Color) outer 3rd of lid.

MAC Quarry through crease.

MAC Smut along lashes.

MAC Naked Lunch to highlight.

Benefit They're Real Mascara.

Tarte LipSurgence in Glitzy for a natural lip color that won't look wonky if it wears off while I'm eating wings and potato skins.

Revlon Lip Gloss in Peony 008.

Outfit.

There are quite a few ways to dress on Game Day. A jersey. Sweatpants.
I'm good with both of those for around the house but if I'm around co-workers I'd dress it up a little with a nice pair of dark jeans, casual shoes and a team-color coordinated sweater.
If I'm hanging out with my guy and his friends I'd KISS (keep it simple stupid) with some jeans, comfy shoes and a cute top that doesn't look too high maintenance/slutty.

What I wore:

Top | J. Crew | A little dull perhaps, but it's my style and team-color neutral. My teams fell out of the race to the super bowl a while back.

Jeans | Ezra Fitch Abercrombie & Fitch

Boots | Tony Llama

Coat | Valentino

Purse | Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac

Now lastly, some of my tips, tricks and suggestions for the day.

No. 1: Game Etiquette. If you're not an football expert cheer, avoid awkwardness by cheering when everyone else does, make sure to not offend someone who's rooting for a different team and avoid being super opinionated about a play if you're not sure what's going on. If you know the game as well as the guys though, let your voice be heard girl!!

No. 2: Be respectful of who you're with! If you're the only Broncos fan in a group of Patriots, support of your team but don't be super obnoxious. Remember: they outnumber you!

No. 3: Super Bowl Sunday = lots of bad for you food and drinks. Have fun, pig out, but drink lots of water too!

No. 4: Food. It's awesome. If you're going to a party make sure to bring something. Doesn't have to be fancy, but don't show up empty handed if you can avoid it. If you're someone with special diet needs make sure to inform the host or bring your own snacks!

No. 5:  Have Fun!!

I hope you all have a great day :) Good luck to your team!!!

Best wishes,

Elisabeth
