January Favorites & What Happened This Month | 2014

What Happened.

I rang in the New Year. I don't remember New Year's Eve because of apathy, not alcohol. I'm sure it involved pajama pants.

I obsessively played Cher Lloyd's 'I Wish' Ft. T.I. music video for about a week straight. Something about the combo of visual awesomeness and catchy auto-tuning proved addictive.

I went on vacation and ended up being the recipient of everyone's stories of their heartaches.

I lost my heart (hypothetically speaking) to a wee stuffed lamb and a table & chair set. I didn't get either. I'm still upset.

I swam by myself under the stars. A confined mermaid.

I watched pitch perfect about seven times.

Work.

I am working on cleaning, redecorating and stream lining my space. 

Starbucks is still really disappointing to me.

I am letting my hair grow out and my natural color come through.

Hot Coco with chocolate chip marshmallows and conversation with my friend.

Walks with my mom.

Words run through my veins.

Playing in the snow with my rescue pups.

Piles grow and diminish and grow.

Missing those I love.

Two lengthy phone calls with the guy who haunts my dreams. 

I quit watching a really ugly Super Bowl in the fourth quarter to watch this season's last episode of Sherlock.

My go-to look: Oversized camo jacket, J. Crew pixi pants, Cole-Haan combat style boots and MAC smut eye shadow smudged around my eyes.

I was in Florida for ten days. I filmed my first vlog footage and have to edit it. It was cold for the most part. 

I miss summer.

I am living for spring.

December Favorites + What Happened in the Month

What happened. 

My favorite look of this month was black moto-inspired boots, my black motorcycle jacket, red lips, a taupe eye with a cat flick and fluttery lashes, silver rings, and lots of curls.

I loved curling up in my room with all my lights aglow reading a book or watching a movie just sipping tea.

I practiced my knitting and did some more advanced yoga poses - hello Dolphin pose!

I traveled a lot, did my job and went to business meetings, hung out with friends and watched Sharknado :P

Discovered what coffees to avoid ordering. Tweeted and instagramed. #commonwhitegirl

Obsessively watched Nikki Phillippi's Vlogmas videos and Christine from Pinksofoxy.

I lit so many candles I increased the temperature of my room.

I did Christmas hard core - all the shopping, decorating, gift wrapping, baking, card writing, and song listening.

I lost a loved one and stood up for myself.

I made some first steps to actual adulthood.

I had a birthday.

I celebrated Christmas with my loved ones.

I bought my first MAC eyeshadow (s).

I didn't give up and I'm still pushing myself.
